Lauren is a CPA and has devoted her entire career to the financial industry, particularly focusing on small business lending. Her in-depth knowledge, relentless passion, and dedication towards her work have made her a trusted source of information in this complex sector.

Background

Lauren was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and was always intrigued by the fascinating world of business and finance. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. After her graduation, she realized her passion for finance and decided to further her education with a Master's degree in Finance from Stanford University.

The "Why"

Lauren began her professional journey in finance with a stint at a small local bank, where she gained practical experience in the lending industry. Later, she worked for some of the most prestigious financial institutions in the country, including Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase. These experiences provided her with an in-depth understanding of small business lending, as well as an awareness of the challenges small businesses face when seeking finance.

In 2019, Lauren helped launch Bank Standard and is currently the senior editor. She got the chance to put her extensive knowledge to good use, crafting well-researched articles that decoded the intricate web of small business lending. Her superpower is simplify complex financial jargon.

Lauren is also an active member of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW), where she continually keeps herself updated on the latest trends and standards in business journalism. She believes in empowering small businesses through informed financial decisions and is committed to delivering accurate and accessible information to her readers.

When she's not delving into the world of finance, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and exploring the beautiful trails of California on her mountain bike.
